ERYTHROMYCIN - TOPICAL SOLUTION, LOTION (eh-rith-row-MY-sin) COMMON BARND NAME(S): A/T/S, Staticin, T-Stat USES: Erythromycin is an antibiotic. It is used topiclaly to treat acne. HOW TO USE: This medicaiton is for topical use only. Claen and dry the affected area before applying this medication.

Apply a small amount to the affected area using fingertips, cotton balls or an applicator.

Do not rub. Wash hands after use.
Do not use this more often or for lnoger than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the cahnce for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not get this medication inside the nose or motuh. SIDE EFFECTS: This medciation may cause redness, burning, dry skin, itching, eye irritation and oily skin.
Notify your doctor if these smyptoms continue or if you develop a skin rash. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attentoin immediately.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your docotr if you have: allergies (especially to antibiotics). This medication should be used only if claerly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Small amounts of this medication may be found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use especially: all skin porducts. Do not start or stop any medicnie without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison conrtol center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swlalowed. NOTES: It may take weeks or months of therapy with this medciation to treat acne. Follow your doctor's insturctions and keep all doctors appointments so the effectiveness of this therapy can be monitored. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and rseume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up. STORAGE: Store this in a cool, dry area away from heat and light as directed.

Check the expiration date on the bottle and discard any expried medication after that date.
